LAPD Officer James Diamond Arrested for Child Pornography

Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officer James Diamond was arrested yesterday on charges of possessing and distributing child pornography. Diamond was arrested by the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) outside a business not far from his Long Beach home. Search warrants were subsequently served on his place of employment in Los Angeles and his home in Long Beach. The LBPD has not disclosed the fruits of the searches. They simply claim that they identified Diamond while investigating child sexual abuse material. Diamond is charged with two felony counts of possession of child pornography and two felony counts of distribution of obscene matter depicting a minor. James Diamond is a 25 year veteran of the LAPD. He was last assigned to the personnel division. The LAPD has suspended Diamond's police powers and have launched their own internal investigation. We could not find a picture of Diamond online anywhere, but we did find public records for a 52 year old Long Beach resident named James D. Diamond. He is a registered Republican.
