Former Brooklyn Center Police officer Kim Potter was released from prison today after serving just 16 months for killing Daunte Wright. Potter yelled "taser" before shooting Wright in 2021. She claimed she mistook her taser for a gun before accidentally killing Wright. This might seem like a horrible miscarriage of justice because it is, but there is some good news. The good news is that if you want to get away with murder just make sure to pick up a taser when buying a gun and remember to yell "taser" whenever you shoot someone. Film yourself doing it and you should be able to convince a jury that yelling "taser" proves you didn't really mean to shoot the person. Jonathan Mcmillen of Bartlett, TN is a confidential informant to the Shelby County Organized Crime Unit. He got caught multiple times for marijuana possession and selling 2001-2003 then had to serve a year for getting arrested while in drug court. In 2016 he got busted with 200 valium, 200 lortabs, oxycodone, Tussinex cough syrup, pound of marijuana, marijuana cartridges, Xanax, marijuana edibles and several guns. This was in Bartlett a suburb of Memphis where they will sentence harshly. In Memphis someone caught with this would get at least 3 years in jail. Somehow he only got 6 months weekend time and only had to serve 3 months of it. Ain't no one ever heard of anyone with previous charges, getting caught with that much dope and GUNS and not having to serve at least 20 months. This degenerate loser has been an informant for Shelby County since 2016. In 2022 his loser dumb ass got busted again but this time he is facing 10 years and OCU ain't playing with him. They know he was selling marijuana to his underage son and friends. Also endangering his children's life by continuing to sell drugs out of his house where they live. Cincinnati Police officer Justin Shields was arrested for drunk driving on April 14th after refusing to take a breathalyzer and failing a field sobriety test. He seemed like he thought all he'd have to do is flash his badge and his fellow officer would give him a pass, but he encountered a rare breed of state trooper who actually does his job when encountering fellow law enforcement officers breaking the law. Justin Shields was assigned to CPD District 4. Media reports are silent as to Shields' current status with the CPD. We assume he at least on leave pending the outcome of the case. That is how things usually work. Whether it is paid or unpaid leave we don't know. Two Chinese nationals are facing federal charges for allegedly operating a clandestine police station in Manhattan's Chinatown district on behalf of the Chinese government. Liu Jianwang and Chen Jinping are charged with acting as agents of a foreign government and obstruction of justice according to emerging media reports. This is a breaking story so not much is known at this time. The U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, Breon Peace, described the operation believed to have begun last year as "transnational repression targeting members of the Chinese diaspora community in New York City and elsewhere in the United States." Peace also alleges that the pair tracked Chinese dissidents living in America. "On at least one occasion, an official with the Chinese national police directed one of the defendants, a US citizen who worked at the secret police station, to help locate a pro-democracy activist of Chinese descent living in California" according to Peace. The charge of acting as a foreign agent carries a statutory maximum of five years in federal prison. That charge is obviously for operating the police station. The obstruction of justice charge carries a statutory maximum of twenty years in federal prison. That charge is for deleting correspondence between the pair and the Chinese government. Normally we wouldn't support throwing the book at people charged for the first time with such things, but anyone who operates an illegal police station on behalf of a foreign power in this country needs to be made an example of. Having to worry about the FBI using Stalinist tactics on Americans every day is bad enough. The last thing we need are foreign governments operating police stations in our communities. Even if they're only targeting former citizens of theirs we need to make sure that what happens to aliens in America is up to Americans.
