Aurora Police Officer Francine Martinez is facing charges for failure to report use of force by a peace officer and failure to intervene. The charges stem from Officer John Haubert pistol whipping, choking, and otherwise assaulting a helpless unarmed black man. Aurora Police officer John Haubert was arrested this week for beating, choking, and threatening to kill a helpless black man who never did anything to threaten him. Officer Francine Ann Martinez is also facing charges for failing to intervene. Body camera footage released today showing the encounter is embedded below this article. In it you can see a man sitting on the ground when Haubert pounces on him, orders him to get on his stomach, and extend his hands. He followed his command, but at the same time asked questions like "what did I do?" Then Haubert starts striking him with the butt of his pistol, a cut opens up on the victim's head, and eventually he can be seen grabbing him by the throat when his body cam falls off and he can be heard saying, "you move I will shoot you." According an affidavit (see PDF link above map), Haubert choked the man for 39 seconds. He can also be heard accusing the victim of trying to grab his gun, which is a common tactic used by police to try and justify excessive force when they know their cameras probably won't see what is really going on (see https://ift.tt/2BLu9Ql). The struggle continued for a few minutes as the victim tried to defend and/or free himself obviously fearing for his life not knowing why he was being assaulted. Officer Michael Dieck arrived on the scene later and tased the victim. Haubert was later heard telling a sergeant "I was going to shoot him but I didn't know if I had a round in it or not." Striking an unarmed suspect with the butt of a pistol let along firing it just because he won't stop moving is never justified. The Aurora Police Department (APD) has placed Haubert on unpaid administrative leave while internal affairs conducts an internal investigation. He faces charges of attempted first-degree assault, second-degree assault, felony menacing, official oppression and official misconduct. APD Chief Vanessa Wilson called Haubert's actions "very despicable." According to public records, John Raymond Haubert is a 39 year old resident of Parker, Colorado. He spent time in jail for a 2009 conviction for unlawful possession of a firearm while intoxicated. Bucks County Regional Police Corporal Clifford Horn was caught by a group of concerned citizens posing as minors online to expose sexual predators. Horn chatted online with someone he believed to be a minor, agreed to meet with the decoy, and was confronted when he showed up to the meeting with his pants unzipped. You can watch the entire encounter in the video below. He has since been arrested for attempting to lure a child. The group that exposed Horn is known as Colorado Ped Patrol. They go around posing as minors on social media for the purpose of exposing child molesters before they can molest again. Then they turn their findings over to the police. A second group known as Creeps Spotlight was also involved. According to public records, Clifford B. Horn is a 54 year old resident of Chalfont, Pennsylvania. His last known address is 213 Remington CT. He has also been linked to the property at 210 New Jersey Ave. as recently as this year. We are exempting that information from our usual policy of censoring home addresses of cops because Horn is obviously a danger to children. FBI Agent Richard Trask was arrested in Kalamazoo for smashing is wife's head into a nightstand after attending a swingers party earlier this week. Agent Trask was the lead agent in charge of investing the alleged plot to put Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer on trial for treason last year. The FBI has said that they are aware of the charges but will not comment on Trask's status with the agency despite him being released on conditions that make it almost impossible for anyone to work in law enforcement. Trask's arrest jeopardizes the credibility of everything he has ever said and could turn the tide in the Whitmer case. ANALYSIS We found an excellent analysis of this case on YouTube by an attorney named Robert Gruler who runs a channel called Watching the Watchers. The analysis is over 20 minutes long, but the last 10 minutes have more to do with the Witmer case than this one. We are embedding the video below this article. Gruler summarizes information about the case from multiple media outlets. The allegations are that Mr. and Mrs. Trask attended a swingers party at the Delta Hotel located at 2747 S. 11th St. in Oshtemo Township. His wife told police that she did not like the party despite the two of them drinking heavily and that they began arguing in the car on the way home. Then she says that Trask got on top of her, grabbed both sides of her head and smashed it into a nightstand multiple times. Then she says that she grabbed his beard in an effort to get him off her and he responded by choking her until she grabbed his testicles. Realizing that she had him by the balls he stopped choking her. He then grabbed some clothes and fled the scene in his wife's car. When police arrived they said that Trask's wife was bleeding from the head, had multiple cuts, and severe bruising. Police eventually found Trask in the Meijer parking lot at 6660 W. Main St. where he was read his rights, said he understood his rights, refused to make a statement, was arrested, and taken to jail. TRASK's STATUS WITH THE FBI Trask was quickly released on a personal recognizance bond with conditions. Those conditions include that he not return to his home or possess a firearm. We don't know how anyone can continue to work as a FBI agent doing the types of tasks that he performed without carrying a firearm. It is possible that he could be reassigned to desk duty pending the outcome of the case, but it is more likely that he has been placed on administrative leave. However, law enforcement agencies are usually quick to tell the public that an officer has been placed on leave in high profile cases like this one. FBI spokeswoman Mara Schneider released a statement saying, "in accordance with FBI policy, the incident is subject to internal review, and we cannot comment further at this time." That tells us that an internal investigation has begun. That investigation is most likely being led by the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) at the Department of Justice because it involves allegations of misconduct outside the scope of professional duties. That was the case when our founder accused several federal officers of battery a few years ago. Because the allegations involved criminal conduct outside the scope of their duties it was referred to OIG even thought the officers were on duty at the time. The OIG's primary function in such cases is to rubber stamp official statements made by those under investigation so that they can make it look like an independent third party thoroughly investigated the matter, but if those investigations were truly independent and objective then people like our founder would not win lawsuits despite their findings (https://ift.tt/2OvKm2g). This case however seems like one in which they might actually do their jobs because the victim is not a suspect/convict, it took place off duty, and the perpetrator has already been arrested. THE GRETCHEN WHITMER CASE Trask's arrest is great news for the Wolverine Watchmen he arrested last year (https://ift.tt/3jIYEY1). Trask signed the criminal complaint in that case (see PDF link above map) and wrote the probably cause statement in support of that complaint (https://ift.tt/3x0ZZzi). In the complaint he alleged that a group of patriots fed up with being governed by traitors took steps to hold one of them accountable for her actions. He described their motive as "creating a society that followed the U.S. Bill of Rights." To those ends they allegedly identified "state governments they believed were violating the U.S. Constitution, including the government of Michigan and Governor Gretchen Whitmer." However, Trask admitted that law enforcement had a powerful incentive to find any excuse they could to take them down, "The militia group had already been brought to the attention of the FBI by a local police department in March 2020, when members of the militia group were attempting to obtain the addresses of local law-enforcement officers." It is not a crime to obtain addresses of law enforcement officers, but that does not stop them from doing all them can to stop you. We found this out shortly after this site was launched in 2017 when our founder was arrested by U.S. Marshals for allegedly violating supervised release condition stemming for a 2013 federal conviction for making threatening communications and a 2014 conviction for assaulting a federal employee while serving a 24 month sentence in the threat case. Probation had already served him with a summons for allegedly violating his conditions by not participating in computer monitoring, but that summons said that they would not seek to revoke his release and they simply wanted to ban him from computers for disabling the monitoring software (https://ift.tt/3eMpWw7). He fought back by lawfully obtaining and publishing home addresses of ever police officer, prosecutor, judge, and snitch involved in his cases so that they would have no choice but to let him use computers if they wanted that information suppressed. They elected to arrest him instead hoping that he wouldn't be able to keep the site running from jail. They had precedent for that because it worked in his threat case when their true target was a network of legal websites because his hosting company did not accept automatic payments and his own people betrayed him after his arrest by not following directions he sent from jail, but it didn't work the second time. As a result their home addresses remained live on the site for over a year while he served his six month revocation and fought new charges of assaulting a federal officer for throwing spicy chips into the faces of correctional officers. He had been told to move to the entrance area of his housing unit because he would be going to the disciplinary unit, but instead he went back to his cell to flush contraband and told officers that he would publish their home addresses on this site if they took him to the disciplinary unit. They responded by assaulting him, breaking his arm, and falsely accusing him of throwing punches/elbows striking them in the face several times. Their actions were a desperate attempt to keep their information off this site by getting him a third strike under the federal sentencing guidelines as a career offender (they only require two prior violent felonies even if the person is not a career criminal, so if you punch three mailmen in your life you could get at least 15 years for that third mailman). He went from facing at least 15 years to time served after an expert witness provided proof that his arm was intentionally broken (https://ift.tt/2ZmKgfm) and the officers could provide no evidence of injuries (none of them sought medical care or took pictures). This is relevant to this case because it shows just how far law enforcement personnel are willing to go to keep people from figuring out where they live. After his release he put a block on all home addresses in the police, prosecutors, corrections, and judges categories of this website, but setup a timer so that if he doesn't login to his account after more than 14 days for any reason the block won't work. One time he forgot to login and got an instant visit from probation about all the addresses being up, so he fixed the problem by logging in. He credits his willingness to suppress that information while giving officers an incentive not to screw with him as the key to his success on supervision. The Wolverine Watchmen case appears to involve similar law enforcement motivations. We believe that when the FBI found out about their intention to acquire home addresses that they set out on a mission to take them down by any means necessary. Most of the evidence in the Watchmen case came from a snitch wearing a wire. That struck a cord with us because while our founder was facing the assault charge for the chips he too was targeted by an FBI snitch wearing a wire. It was his cellmate at FCI Sheridan. That man turned out to be a notorious rat with an extensive criminal history which included convictions for making false statements (https://ift.tt/30oZ8dP). That didn't stop the FBI from wiring him up when he sent a bogus tip claiming to have been offered $250,000 a head to kill United States District Judge Marco Hernandez and others. Despite that alleged offer coming from a man so financially strapped that all of his lawyers were court appointed the tip was treated literally for the purpose of denying him pre-trial release after the weakness of the case against him began to emerge. His case showed that the FBI and the U.S. Attorney's Office cannot be trusted to provide an accurate picture of events when their personal information is on the line. The arrest of Richard Trask means that many of the sworn statements in the Watchmen case are not credible. The Watchmen did talk about wanting to kill people including Governor Whitmer and we think they would love to make those fantasies a reality. Some of the messages between group members sound really damning, but they are surely just a small percentage of what was really said. To Trask's credit they did take steps beyond talking such as buying equipment and going on reconnaissance missions to survey her property at night, but that does not mean that they were actually going to go through with it. People talk about doing stuff like that all the time. Sometimes they even do minor things to feel like they are really doing something like going somewhere and watching the place they wish they could do something at, but that does not mean that they are going to do it. People that have gone that far often get cold feet at the end. This isn't like the time the FBI gave a fake fertilizer bomb to an Al-Qaeda supporter and arrested him after calling the number he though would set it off twice (https://ift.tt/3zWyw4y). This case is like arresting Mohamed Mohamud after repeating his intentions, meeting with undercover agents, and testing a mini-version of the explosives he wanted to use. In this case the FBI didn't even bother to see if the Watchmen could actually acquire the explosives they claimed they needed to blow up a small bridge leading to Whitmer's home. Even if they couldn't acquire the explosives the feds could have built a case selling them high quality fakes and waiting to see if they tried to use them. One of them did buy a taser, but tasers have so many other uses it can't be said that buying one means you will carry out your plans. We think that Trask jumped the gun and should have waited to see if they actually acquired explosives or could be convinced to try using fake bombs. He had them under such close surveillance that he could have waited until the day of the alleged kidnapping to arrest them if he really wanted his case to be solid. The fact that they were arrested so soon demonstrates to us that Trask wanted to make a move before anyone could change their minds. In 2014 he was fined $30 for failing to obey a highway sign in Spotsylvania (case # 177GT14019832-00) and in 2008 he was fined $25 for driving with an improperly equipped speedometer in Harnett County (case # 01420HARNETT 2008CR 702896). Mobile Metro Jail correctional officer Jimmie Laffitte III was arrested yesterday for promoting prison contraband. No further details were released, so we don't know what the contraband was, but he does not appear to be charged with any other crimes likely to imply that what he promoted were otherwise illegal (ex: illegal drugs). We looked at the Alabama statute he is charged under for more clues (https://ift.tt/2V3ABM2) and the definition of contraband is quite broad, "any contraband or thing which the actor knows or should know it is unlawful to introduce or for the inmate to possess." The fact that he is not charged with possession or distribution of a controlled substance implies that the contraband was not a controlled substance. Likewise he is not charged with unlawfully possessing a weapon, so it was likely not a weapon. That narrows it down to stuff like pornography or any other luxury item that is perfectly legal to possess on the outside. Pornography is a good bet since it can easily be hidden with legal work and there is a demand for it. Other possibilities include cell phones which are smuggled into inmates more often than you would think. A former Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agent was arrested today for trespassing at the United States Capitol with a firearm on January 6th. Mark Sami Ibrahim now faces federal charges of entering or remaining in a restricted building or grounds, making a false statement, stepping or climbing on something illegally, and possessing a firearm on Capitol grounds. The document does not allege that Ibrahim actually entered the Capitol Building or that he engaged in any violent acts. He did however flash his DEA badge and service weapon in photos taken outside on Capitol grounds. Ibrahim was just a probationary agent and had already given the DEA notice of his intent to resign. One would hope that he saw the light and simply didn't want to treat his fellow man the way that police officers treat people. We have learned over the years that many people start working in law enforcement thinking they have what it takes, but eventually succumb to their own humanity and quit. We are not sure if that was the case with Ibrahim, but until we know otherwise we will give him the benefit of the doubt. We also think it is kind of lame that someone would be charged with a crime just for carrying a gun outside the Capitol Building. He does after all have a 2nd Amendment right to bear arms and the Capitol grounds are a public place. Its not like he went inside with zip ties and tried to kidnap Mike Pence or anything. It situations like that it is probably best to reward those that simply remained outside and didn't hurt anyone. On the other hand he did lie to federal investigators when asked if he were on the Capitol grounds two months later. That is why he is charged with lying to federal officers. That could make his presence at the Capitol appear less benign because if he had nothing to hide why lie? Surely he knew from his experience in law enforcement that someone would likely notice a man flashing a federal law enforcement badge while holding a "liberty or die" flag outside the building the same day people stormed it. He likely knew that it wouldn't take long for his fellow officers identify his photo using facial recognition software. Picayune Police officer Joshua Stockstill was arrested by the FBI this week as part of a child sexual exploitation investigation. The investigation began back in February when the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children recorded a video featuring an unidentified adult male and a child. The video is believed to have been made before 2018. On Wednesday, the FBI published a poster featuring the man's face, labeled him "John Doe 44," and asked the public for tips (see PDF link above). Stockstill was arrested the next day and immediately fired by the Picayune Police Department (PPD). He had been with the department for six years. According to media reports, Stockstill currently faces four counts of distribution, one count of lustful touching, and one count of production related to child exploitation. To us that sounds an awful lot like like production and distribution of child pornography starring himself as the molester in chief. According to public records, Joshua Christopher Stockstill is a 29 year old resident of Carriere, Mississippi. His last known address is 99 Crestview Drive. We normally redact home addresses of law enforcement officers, but we make exceptions in extreme cases when we think public safety benefits from the disclosure. In this case we believe Stockstill to be a predatory pedophile. When predatory pedophiles in positions of authority finally get caught there are usually many more victims. We believe that publishing his last known address could help people figure out if someone they know was victimized by him and in the event of his release it could parents keep their kids away from him. Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputy Christopher Freed has been arrested and fired for having sex with inmates. Freed had been employed as a correctional officers at the Silverdale Detention Center (SDC). He now faces two counts of having sexual contact with inmates. According to media outlets, Freed was involved in sexual relationships with two female inmates at SDC. Charging documents allege that Freed would trade access to his Hulu account for sexual favors. Then someone snitched on him and an investigation led to the conclusion that Freed had been having sex with inmates while on duty. He was still on a probationary period as a new hire, so he was terminated right away. He had just started working there back in May, so one can't help but wonder why he wanted that job in the first place. According to public records, Christopher R Freed is a 21 year old resident of Elizabethton, Tennessee. Baltimore Police officer Eric Banks Jr. was arrested a couple days ago after police found the body of his 15 year old stepson hidden in his wall. Dasan Jones was pronounced dead shortly after first responders attempted to revive him. Banks was immediately arrested, but oddly his charges do not include anything for what happened to his stepson, just what he did to officers. Charges related to Jones' death will likely be announced shortly. The Chief Medical Examiner is expected to perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death in the near future. When the autopsy is completed we expect that Banks will be charged for contributing to Jones' death in some way either directly by killing him himself or indirectly by enabling him to do something dangerous. To be fair, we can't very well accuse Banks of murder before we known the cause of death, but Banks of all people should have realized how guilty trying to cover up the death would make him look. Likewise his reaction to the discovery of the body indicates that he knew that he did something wrong. Banks is charged with First and Second Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, Disarm a Law Officer, Resist/Interfere with Arrest, and Fail to Obey a Lawful order. According to Anne Arundel County Police, Banks assaulted officers and attempted to disarm one of them when the body was discovered. There are also reports of Banks uttering things that could be interpreted as suicidal comments. According to public records, Eric Glenn Banks Jr. is a 34 year old resident of Stoney Beach, Maryland. His last known address is 1448 Stoney Point Way. We normally don't post home addresses of law enforcement officers, but we make exceptions when we think doing so improves public safety. In this case, Banks is being held in the Jennifer Road Detention Center, but it is possible that he could make bail in the future. If that happens people need to know that the person living at that location was found with a dead body hidden in his wall. Other information about Banks obtained from publicly available information include his date of birth 6-19-1987, his jail id 1493938, his case number D07CR21007620, and a long list of criminal charges possibly linked to him. San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) officer Dezi Rios was arrested last night for drunk driving as well as failure to stop and provide information. This is just the latest demonstration of bad character by Rios who shot two people during a road rage incident in 2018. He has been suspended without pay pending the outcome of the new case. The SAPD says that Rios was off duty when he got into an accident with a 61 year old man and fled the scene. The man followed Rios and confronted him. Police say that Rios assaulted the old man during the confrontation, but for some reason he has not been charged with assault. However, the investigation is ongoing and the statute of limitations is far from expired, so hopefully he will face assault charges soon. In 2018 Rios got into an off-duty shootout with Demontae Walker in the parking lot at the AllStars Gentlemen's Club. Both men were shot multiple times and Walker's cousin was shot in the head but survived. Walker was left paralyzed and charged with a crime. Rios was suspended for just 15 days even though the investigation revealed that he had been drinking prior to the shooting. Walker's attorney Charles Adams said, "I think it's about time that he has been charged with a crime. He is an awful, awful person and a bully." Actor John Goodman was not arrested for child pornography on Thursday, but a former Hendry County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) deputy with the same first and last name was. John Charles Goodman was arrested Thursday when his former fellow deputies raided his Clewiston home as part of a child pornography sting. According to media reports, Goodman sent nude images of a pre-teen girl to an undercover agent using the popular messaging app Kik.
